Hello, I’m Katy

I am a highly respected property development professional with 30 years’ experience in the UK real estate sector. I enjoy seeing the transformative effect I have on businesses when I apply my extensive experience in leadership, strategic guidance, people management, risk assessment and market insights.

I began my career as a Quantity Surveyor working for one of the UK’s major housebuilders and from there gained invaluable direct experience of all the main business functions in residential development: land, planning, procurement, construction management, sales and marketing and finance. As a result, I am an informed and effective leader.

My experience spans the whole industry including a start-up, SME housebuilders and several roles within a PLC, to board level.  I am also an experienced non-executive director having served on the boards of the Home Builders Federation (HBF) and the New Homes Quality Board (NHQB).

I understand first hand, the challenges faced by the housebuilding sector and what it takes to create and run a viable and profitable business.

I deeply respect the risk that owners and investors of development firms take and I have extensive experience of working with a wide range of funders from family offices to institutional investors.

I believe that SMEs play a vital role in the market by providing choice for customers, landowners, employees and local authorities, and their purpose contributes to a functioning land market.
