Hello, I’m Katy

I am a property development professional with 30 years’ experience in the real estate sector. I love what I do. I especially enjoy seeing the transformative effect I have on businesses when I apply my extensive experience in leadership, strategic guidance, people management, risk assessment and market insights.

I started my professional life as a Quantity Surveyor and from there gained invaluable direct experience of all the main business functions in residential development: land, planning, procurement, construction management, sales and marketing and finance. As a result, I am an informed and effective leader.

My experience spans the whole industry including a start-up, SME housebuilders and several roles within a PLC, to board level.  I understand first hand, the challenges faced by the housebuilding sector and what it takes to create and run a viable and profitable business.

Working with SMEs is a privilege. I deeply respect the risk that owners of private housebuilding firms take - often at considerable personal cost.

I believe that SMEs play a vital role in the market by providing choice for customers, landowners, employees and local authorities, and their purpose contributes to a functioning land market.

I am highly respected across the industry and serve on the board of the Home Builders Federation (HBF) and I am a founding director of the New Homes Quality Board (NHQB).
